How it works

  1. Cast Demon's Disciple by paying 2B mana.
  2. When Demon's Disciple enters the battlefield, it triggers.
  3. Holding priority, activate Relic of Legends' second ability by tapping Burakos, adding B mana.
  4. Burakos triggers, giving it and all creatures you control that share a creature type with it +2/+0 and undying until end of turn.
  5. Resolve the Demon's Disciple trigger from step 2, causing you to sacrifice Burakos, and each opponent to sacrifice a creature or planeswalker.
  6. When Burakos dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
  7. Activate Retribution of the Ancients by paying B mana and removing the +1/+1 counter from Burakos, giving Demon's Disciple -1/-1 until end of turn.
  8. Demon's Disciple dies as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness, triggering its undying ability, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter from it.
  9. Repeat steps 2 through 6 one additional time.
  10. Activate Retribution of the Ancients by paying B mana and removing the +1/+1 counter from Burakos and Demon's Disciple, giving Demon's Disciple -2/-2 until end of turn.
  11. Repeat from step 8.

This intricate sacrifice loop is anchored by Haunted One, which grants your commanders the vital undying ability whenever they become tapped—a condition easily met by tapping Burakos, Party Leader to activate Relic of Legends for mana. Once Burakos falls to the mandatory sacrifice triggered by Demon's Disciple entering the battlefield, undying returns it with a +1/+1 counter, which Retribution of the Ancients can then immediately strip away to shrink Demon's Disciple down to zero toughness. As Demon's Disciple in turn loops back via its own undying triggers, you can continuously repeat the process to wipe your opponents' boards of every creature and planeswalker they hold dear.
