How it works
Activate Jan Jansen's first ability by tapping it and sacrificing another artifact creature you control except the Gnome or Artificer.
Jan Jansen triggers, causing it and creatures you control that share a creature type with it to get +2/+0 and undying until end of turn.
Resolve the Jan Jansen ability, creating two Treasure tokens.
Activate Thermopod by sacrificing Jan Jansen, adding .
When Jan Jansen dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.

This clever engine turns Jan Jansen, Chaos Crafter into a self-sacrificing loop by leveraging the passive stat and undying-granting buffs from Haunted One. Whenever Jan Jansen taps to sacrifice an artifact creature for two Treasure tokens, Haunted One triggers to give your shared creature types undying. From there, Thermopod steps in as the ultimate sacrifice outlet to churn Jan Jansen into red mana and trigger its return to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter. To keep the loop clean, Retribution of the Ancients uses the black mana fueled by your freshly minted Treasures to strip away those accumulated +1/+1 counters, allowing Jan Jansen and its comrades to endlessly repeat their miraculous returns.
