How it works

1. Cast Coveted Jewel by paying 6.
2. When Coveted Jewel enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to draw three cards.
3. Activate Coveted Jewel by tapping it, adding three mana of any color.
4. Activate Mind over Matter by discarding a card, untapping Coveted Jewel.
5. Repeat from step 3 one additional time.
6. Activate Coveted Jewel by tapping it, adding .
7. Activate Mind over Matter by discarding a card, untapping Vedalken Mastermind.
8. Activate Vedalken Mastermind by paying and tapping it, returning Coveted Jewel to your hand from the battlefield.
9. Repeat.

This ingenious loop transforms Coveted Jewel into a self-sustaining engine by repeatedly bouncing and recasting it using the mana it generates. The real magic happens because Mind Over Matter lets you continuously untap both the Jewel and Vedalken Mastermind simply by discarding the cards you draw along the way, fueling the entire color-intensive sequence.
