How it works

  1. Cast Gravecrawler either from your hand or graveyard by paying B mana.
  2. When Gravecrawler enters the battlefield, Aunt May, Carnival of Souls and The Sibsig Ceremony trigger.
  3. Resolve the Aunt May trigger, causing you to gain 1 life.
  4. Resolve the Carnival of Souls trigger, causing you to lose 1 life and add B mana.
  5. Resolve the Sibsig Ceremony trigger, destroying Gravecrawler and creating a 2/2 Zombie Druid creature token.
  6. When the Zombie Druid enters the battlefield, Aunt May and Carnival of Souls trigger.
  7. Resolve the Aunt May trigger, causing you to gain 1 life.
  8. Resolve the Carnival of Souls trigger, causing you to lose 1 life and add B mana.
  9. Repeat.

This loop is a masterclass in recycling, fueled by The Sibsig Ceremony making your creature spells cost {2} less so you can recast Gravecrawler from your graveyard for a mere single black mana as long as you control a Zombie. Each time Gravecrawler enters, Carnival of Souls provides the mana to sustain the loop while paying for the life loss with life gained from Aunt May's watchful care. Finally, The Sibsig Ceremony steps in to immediately destroy the recursive Skeleton and leave behind a fresh 2/2 black Zombie Druid token, which in turn keeps your Zombie-requirement satisfied and continuously triggers both Aunt May and Carnival of Souls all over again.
