How it works

1. Activate Jaxis by paying , tapping it and discarding a card, creating a token copy of Coercive Recruiter with haste.
2. When the Coercive Recruiter token enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping Jaxis.
3. Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing the Coercive Recruiter token, adding .
4. When the Coercive Recruiter token dies, it triggers, causing you to draw a card.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop uses Jaxis, the Troublemaker to churn out temporary token copies of Coercive Recruiter, instantly untapping Jaxis the moment the token enters the battlefield. You then feed that same token right into Thermopod's sacrifice ability to recoup the red mana needed to keep the engine going. Best of all, thanks to the token's built-in death trigger and Jaxis's own rummaging discard cost, this continuous cycle turns your spare cards into an endless stream of fresh draws.
