How it works

  1. During your upkeep, activate Hell's Caretaker by tapping it and sacrificing another nontoken creature, returning Coercive Recruiter from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  2. Coercive Recruiter and Skeleton Crew trigger.
  3. Resolve the Coercive Recruiter trigger, untapping Hell's Caretaker.
  4. Resolve the Skeleton Crew trigger, creating a 2/2 Skeleton Pirate creature token.
  5. When the Skeleton Pirate enters the battlefield, Coercive Recruiter triggers, untapping target creature and gaining control of it.
  6. Activate Hell's Caretaker by tapping it and sacrificing Coercive Recruiter, returning another creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  7. When the creature enters the battlefield, Skeleton Crew triggers, creating a 2/2 Skeleton Pirate creature token.
  8. When the Skeleton Pirate enters the battlefield, Coercive Recruiter triggers, untapping Hell's Caretaker.
  9. Repeat.
