Coercive Recruiter

How it works

1. Create a Pirate creature token and/or a creature token with changeling.
2. Activate Ghired by tapping it, creating a copy of the creature token.
3. When the creature token enters the battlefield, Coercive Recruiter triggers, untapping Ghired.
4. Repeat from step 2.
5. Create a token copy of Coercive Recruiter.
6. Activate Ghired by tapping it, creating a token copy of the Coercive Recruiter copy.
7. When the Coercive Recruiter token enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping Ghired.
8. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop gets rolling by leveraging Ghired, Mirror of the Wilds and its ability to turn any nontoken creature into a reliable copy machine for your newest arrivals. When you kick things off with a Pirate token, Ghired's tap ability lets you duplicate it, and Coercive Recruiter's triggered ability steps in to untap Ghired the moment that fresh token hits the battlefield. Because Coercive Recruiter also makes any stolen or copied creatures into Pirates, you can continuously churn out infinite token copies of the Recruiter itself while endlessly untapping your board's engine.
