How it works

1. Cast First Day of Class by paying 1.
2. Cast Basking Broodscale by paying 1.
3. When Basking Broodscale enters, First Day of Class triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
4. Basking Broodscale triggers, creating an 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn creature token.
5. When the Eldrazi Spawn enters, First Day of Class triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on the Eldrazi Spawn.
6. Activate the Eldrazi Spawn by sacrificing it, adding C.
7. When the Eldrazi Spawn dies, Reyhan triggers, putting at least one +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
8. Repeat from step 4.

This clever loop relies on First Day of Class to prime every creature you play or create with an immediate +1/+1 counter. When you cast Basking Broodscale, that triggered counter causes it to spawn an Eldrazi Spawn, which immediately receives its own counter from First Day of Class as it enters. Sacrificing that token for mana triggers Reyhan, Last of the Abzan, whose death ability redirects those counters right back onto Basking Broodscale to restart the cycle.
