How it works

1. Cast First Day of Class by paying 1.
2. Cast Basking Broodscale by paying 1.
3. When Basking Broodscale enters the battlefield, First Day of Class triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
4. Basking Broodscale triggers, creating a 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn creature token.
5. When the Eldrazi Spawn enters, First Day of Class triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on the Eldrazi Spawn.
6. Activate the Eldrazi Spawn by sacrificing it, adding C.
7. When the Eldrazi Spawn dies, Reluctant Role Model's second ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
8. Repeat from step 4.
