How it works

1. Activate Steelswarm Operator's second ability by tapping it, adding that can only be spent to activate abilities of artifacts.
2. Activate Filigree Sages by paying , untapping Steelswarm Operator.
3. Repeat.

This loop turns Filigree Sages into a self-sustaining engine by exploiting the cost reduction from Power Artifact. Because Power Artifact discounts the Sages' untap ability down to just {U}, you can pay for it entirely using the restricted blue mana generated by Steelswarm Operator. By tapping the Operator for {U}{U} and spending {U} to untap it with the Sages, you are left with an excess of blue mana that can be continuously poured into activating artifact abilities or casting artifact spells.
