How it works

1. Activate Ghave's first ability by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from a creature you control, creating two 1/1 Saproling creature tokens.
2. Activate Ghave's second ability by paying 1 and sacrificing a Saproling.
3. When the Saproling dies, Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating two Treasure tokens.
4. Resolve the Ghave ability, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
5. Activate both Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 2.
6. Repeat.

This delightful loop lets Ghave, Guru of Spores turn mana and counters into an ever-growing army, beautifully amplified by Parallel Lives doubling every single token you create into pairs instead of singles. As you sacrifice those bodies to Ghave's second ability, Pitiless Plunderer springs into action to generate a pair of Treasure tokens for every single creature that perishes. By cashing in those Treasures for the mana needed to pay Ghave's activation costs, you completely sustain the loop while leaving a surplus of counters and tokens behind.
