How it works

  1. Cast Sword of the Meek by paying 2.
  2. When Sword of the Meek enters, its living weapon ability granted to it by Ekthi triggers.
  3. Holding priority, activate Megatog by sacrificing Sword of the Meek.
  4. Resolve the Sword of the Meek trigger, creating a 0/0 Phyrexian Germ creature token. It'll enter as a 1/1 due to Ekthi's static effect.
  5. When the Phyrexian Germ enters, Sword of the Meek triggers, returning Sword of the Meek from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to the Phyrexian Germ.
  6. Repeat from step 2.

This clever engine transforms Sword of the Meek from a graveyard recurrence piece into an endlessly repeatable sacrifice loop, supercharged by the unique abilities bestowed upon it. With Ekthi, Contaminator Priest granting living weapon to every Equipment you control, playing Sword of the Meek immediately triggers the creation of a Germ token, which enters as a 1/1 thanks to Ekthi's anthem effect. This token's entry triggers Sword of the Meek to leap out of your graveyard and attach itself right back to the Germ, setting the stage for Megatog to repeatedly devour the Sword for parts. By sacrificing the Sword in response to its own living weapon trigger, you continuously feed Megatog to grow it to infinite proportions while generating infinite artifact sacrifices, enters-the-battlefield, and leaves-the-battlefield triggers.
