How it works

1. Activate Thopter Foundry by paying 1 and sacrificing Sword of the Meek.
2. Crime Novelist triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it and adding .
3. Resolve the Thopter Foundry ability, creating a 1/1 Thopter artifact creature token and causing you to gain 1 life.
4. When the Thopter enters the battlefield, Sword of the Meek triggers, returning Sword of the Meek from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to the Thopter.
5. Repeat.

This classic engine turns a modest sacrifice outlet into a self-sustaining loop by letting Thopter Foundry devour Sword of the Meek over and over again. Every time you feed the Sword to the Foundry, Sword of the Meek immediately triggers upon the resulting Thopter's entry to crawl right back out of your graveyard and equip itself to the new token. Meanwhile, Crime Novelist acts as the crucial catalyst, converting each artifact sacrifice into the red mana needed to pay for the next activation while growing larger with every iteration.
