How it works

1. Activate Atog by sacrificing Sword of the Meek.
2. Skittering Precursor triggers, creating a 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn creature token.
3. When the Eldrazi Spawn enters the battlefield as a 1/1 due to Ruination Guide, Sword of the Meek triggers, returning Sword of the Meek from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to the Eldrazi Spawn.
4. Resolve the Atog ability, giving it +2/+2 until end of turn.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop relies on a clever stats-boosting puzzle to constantly revive a humble piece of equipment. You begin by feeding Sword of the Meek to Atog, which triggers Skittering Precursor to spawn an Eldrazi token. Because Ruination Guide passively pumps all other colorless creatures by +1/+0, that newly arriving 0/1 token enters as a 1/1, instantly meeting Sword of the Meek's resurrection condition and snapping it right back from the graveyard onto the token. You can then sacrifice that very same sword to Atog all over again, sacrificing the resulting Eldrazi Spawn for mana along the way to fuel endless repetitions of growth and token generation.
