How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Sword of the Meek.
2. Crime Novelist and Krenko trigger.
3. Resolve the Crime Novelist trigger, adding and putting a +1/+1 counter on the Crime Novelist.
4. Resolve the Krenko trigger, causing you to pay to create a 1/1 Goblin creature token with haste.
5. When the Goblin enters the battlefield, Sword of the Meek triggers, returning Sword of the Meek from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to the Goblin token.
6. Repeat.

This delightful little engine turns the humble Sword of the Meek into an endless cycle of sacrifice and rebirth, fueled by the quiet manipulation of Umbral Collar Zealot. Each time the Sword is fed to the Zealot, Crime Novelist steps in to turn that sacrifice into a surge of red mana and a growing +1/+1 counter, while Krenko, Baron of Tin Street watches the artifact hit the graveyard and eagerly pays that generated mana to churn out a fresh 1/1 Goblin token. That very same Goblin's arrival immediately coaxes the Sword of the Meek right back out of the graveyard to attach itself anew, setting the stage for Umbral Collar Zealot to repeat the whole loop while quietly surveilling your library to keep the machine running.
