How it works

  1. Cast Avenger of Zendikar.
  2. Avenger of Zendikar enters the battlefield, creating a number of 0/1 green Plant creature tokens equal to the number of lands you control.
  3. Sacrifice 3 Plant tokens to Phyrexian Altar adding three mana in any combination of colors.
  4. Sacrifice Avenger of Zendikar to Phyrexian Altar to add a mana of any color.
  5. Nim Deathmantle triggers.
  6. Pay for the Nim Deathmantle trigger, returning Avenger of Zendikar to the battlefield with Nim Deathmantle attached to it.
  7. Repeat steps 2-6.
