Glacial Chasm + Crucible of Worlds + Azusa, Lost but Seeking
Glacial Chasm
Crucible of Worlds
Azusa, Lost but Seeking
Prevent all damage that would be dealt to youLock
How it works
Play Glacial Chasm either from your hand or from your graveyard.
When Glacial Chasm enters the battlefield, its second ability triggers, causing you to sacrifice another land you control.
Play any land from your graveyard.
At the beginning of your next upkeep, Glacial Chasm's cumulative upkeep ability triggers, allowing you to choose not to pay the cost and sacrifice it instead.
Repeat.
This clever engine turns Glacial Chasm's harsh drawback into a rotating cycle that completely locks opponents out of ever damaging you. By leveraging Azusa, Lost but Seeking, you gain the extra land drops needed each turn to effortlessly replay the Chasm after sacrificing it—either to its own cumulative upkeep cost or to its enters-the-battlefield trigger. Meanwhile, Crucible of Worlds acts as your eternal resource depot, letting you pull Glacial Chasm right back out of the graveyard to reset the lock anew in Commander, Legacy, Oathbreaker, PreDH, and Vintage.
