How it works

1. Cast Soul Collector by paying 3.
2. When Soul Collector enters the battlefield, Pandemonium triggers, causing Soul Collector to deal damage to itself equal to its power.
3. If an ability from Shilgengar is waiting to resolve, let it resolve.
4. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Soul Collector.
5. When Soul Collector dies, it triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop sets up an ongoing cycle of sacrifice and resurrection, fueled by the relentless damage-dealing presence of Pandemonium whenever a creature arrives. By feeding Soul Collector to Shilgengar, Sire of Famine, you trigger Soul Collector's own replacement-style death trigger—which catches the creature it damaged itself with—while also harvesting Blood tokens from Shilgengar's sacrifice ability. The resulting loop spins out infinite Blood tokens, sacrifices, and enter-the-battlefield triggers, all powered by the synergy between these three distinct permanents.
