How it works

1. Deal noncombat damage to Smaug.
2. Smaug triggers, creating at least one Treasure token.
3. When the Treasure(s) enter as creature(s) due to March of the Machines, Pandemonium triggers that many times.
4. Resolve the first trigger, dealing damage to Smaug.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This explosive loop turns a single instance of noncombat damage into an endless cycle of greed and devastation. When Smaug the Impenetrable takes damage, its triggered ability responds by spawning an avalanche of Treasure tokens. Thanks to March of the Machines, those new Treasures immediately enter the battlefield as artifact creatures with power equal to their mana value, which in turn causes Pandemonium to trigger for each one. You simply point that incoming Pandemonium damage right back at Smaug the Impenetrable to restart the entire sequence, generating infinite treasures, damage, and triggers along the way.
