How it works

1. Activate Combine Guildmage's first ability by paying 1 and tapping it.
2. Cast Basking Broodscale by paying 1, causing it to enter with a +1/+1 counter due to Combine Guildmage.
3. When Basking Broodscale enters, it triggers, creating an 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn creature token that enters with a +1/+1 counter due to Combine Guildmage.
4. Activate the Eldrazi Spawn by sacrificing it, adding C.
5. When the Eldrazi Spawn dies, Reyhan triggers, putting at least one +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
6. Basking Broodscale triggers, creating an 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn creature token that enters with a +1/+1 counter due to Combine Guildmage.
7. Repeat from step 4.

This clever loop relies on Combine Guildmage's replacement-effect ability to ensure that both creatures and tokens enter the battlefield with an extra +1/+1 counter, turning a simple casting cost into a perpetual motion machine. When you cast Basking Broodscale, that bonus counter triggers its ability to spawn an Eldrazi Spawn, which conveniently enters with its own counter and can be immediately sacrificed for mana to fuel the loop. As that Eldrazi Spawn dies, Reyhan, Last of the Abzan steps in to redirect its counters right back onto Basking Broodscale, restarting the entire cycle. The result is a self-sustaining engine that pumps out infinite colorless mana, sacrifice triggers, and as many +1/+1 counters as your heart desires.
