How it works

1. Activate Elvish Aberration by tapping it, adding .
2. Activate Emiel by paying 3, blinking Derevi.
3. When Derevi enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping Elvish Aberration.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns Emiel the Blessed into a mana-positive engine by leveraging Elvish Aberration's ability to produce three green mana with a single tap. Since Emiel's activation costs three mana, you feed it the exact output from Elvish Aberration to continually exile and return Derevi, Empyrial Tactician to the battlefield. Every time Derevi re-enters, its triggered ability untaps Elvish Aberration, resetting the whole cycle and generating infinite enters-the-battlefield and leaves-the-battlefield triggers.
