How it works

1. Activate Alena by tapping it, adding at least .
2. Activate Emiel by paying 3, blinking Derevi.
3. When Derevi enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping Alena.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Emiel the Blessed and Derevi, Empyrial Tactician into an infinite mana engine by exploiting how blinking a creature resets its state. Whenever Emiel's ability exiles and returns Derevi, Derevi's entering-the-battlefield trigger goes on the stack to untap Alena, Kessig Trapper. Because Alena taps to generate red mana based on the greatest power among creatures that entered the turn—and Derevi just re-entered—Alena produces enough mana to repeatedly fund Emiel's blink activation while netting a surplus of red energy along the way.
