How it works
- Gain life.
- Heliod triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
- Basking Broodscale triggers, creating a creature token.
- When the creature token enters the battlefield, Suture Priest triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
- Repeat from step 2.
This delightful loop is anchored by Heliod, Sun-Crowned, whose passive ability turns any instance of life gain into fuel by placing a +1/+1 counter on a creature you control. When you target Basking Broodscale with this trigger, its ability reacts to the incoming counter by spawning an Eldrazi Spawn token. That new token entering the battlefield immediately trips Suture Priest, which grants you the life needed to re-trigger Heliod, Sun-Crowned all over again.
