How it works

1. Cast Kor Skyfisher by paying 1W/P.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters the battlefield, Suture Priest's first ability triggers, causing you to gain one life.
4. When Kor Skyfisher enters the battlefield, it and Suture Priest's first ability trigger.
5. Resolve the Suture Priest trigger, causing you to gain one life.
6. Resolve the Kor Skyfisher trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
7. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Soldier, adding CC.
8. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the self-bouncing nature of Kor Skyfisher into an engine by continuously recasting it for a single white mana, thanks to the cost-reduction of Defiler of Faith. Each time you replay the Skyfisher, the Defiler steps in to spit out a 1/1 Soldier token alongside it. Ashnod's Altar provides the colorless mana to keep the loop going by sacrificing those tokens, while Suture Priest neatly buffers your life total against the life paid to the Defiler's phyrexian-style cost reduction.
