How it works

3. Spiteful Sliver triggers, dealing an arbitrarily large amount of damage to an applicable target.

This explosive loop leverages the terrifying entry trigger of Volcano Hellion, which is designed to scorch both you and a target creature for an arbitrary amount of life. However, rather than letting that damage singe you, the redirection aura With Great Power . . . cleverly intercepts it and dumps all of that lethal self-inflicted pain directly onto Spiteful Sliver. Because Spiteful Sliver is a Sliver creature granting itself a fiery retaliation trigger, taking that immense hit causes it to instantly reflect an equal amount of damage straight at an opponent, closing out the game in one fiery flash.
