Target opponent loses the gameInfinite lifeloss for target opponent
How it works
Cast Tree of Perdition by paying 3.
When Tree of Perdition enters the battlefield, Jaws of Defeat triggers, targeting an opponent.
If the opponent has 13 or more life, hold priority and then activate Tree of Perdition by tapping it, swapping its toughness with an opponent's life total.
Resolve the Jaws of Defeat trigger, causing the opponent targeted in step 3 to lose life equal to Tree of Perdition's toughness.
The opponent loses the game as a state-based action due to having 0 or less life.
This lethal pairing leverages Tree of Perdition's unique activated ability to instantly shrink an opponent's life total down to the very digits printed on its toughness. Once that life total plunges, the entering Tree of Perdition immediately triggers Jaws of Defeat, turning that newly established toughness into a massive loss of life that finishes off the opponent right on the spot. While Kratos, God of War grants haste and packs its own end-step damage punch for other situations, here the core strategy relies entirely on manipulating base stats and life totals for an abrupt, game-ending blow.
