How it works

1. Activate up to seven mana-producing lands by tapping them, adding at least 1.
2. Activate Midnight Guard using The Jolly Balloon Man's ability by paying 1 and tapping it, creating a token copy of Palinchron that is a 1/1 Balloon with flying and haste in addition to its other types.
3. When the Palinchron token enters the battlefield, it and Midnight Guard trigger.
4. Resolve the Palinchron token's trigger, untapping up to seven lands.
5. Resolve the Midnight Guard trigger, untapping it.
6. Repeat.

This clever setup transforms Midnight Guard into a terrifying engine by using Agatha's Soul Cauldron to grant it Palinchron’s bounce ability, letting you loop the entire process seamlessly. With those abilities infused into the guard via a +1/+1 counter, The Jolly Balloon Man can churn out hasty token copies of Palinchron on demand for just one mana. Each time a token enters, its own entry trigger untaps your lands to pay for the next copy, while simultaneously triggering Midnight Guard to untap itself so you can keep repeating the entire sequence.
