How it works

1. Activate the creature with Elemental Mastery attached by tapping it, creating a number of 1/1 Elemental creature tokens with haste equal to its power.
2. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing an Elemental.
3. When the Elemental dies as an artifact due to Encroaching Mycosynth, Dross Scorpion triggers, untapping the creature with Elemental Mastery attached.
4. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms your entire battlefield into an automated token factory, relying on Encroaching Mycosynth to turn all your nonland permanents and spells into artifacts. With that foundation set, you enchant a creature with Elemental Mastery and tap it to flood the board with haste-granting tokens whose numbers scale to its power. Altar of Dementia then puts those freshly minted tokens to work, sacrificing them to steadily mill your opponent out of the game. Every time one of those tokens hits the graveyard, Dross Scorpion’s static death trigger catches the event and automatically untaps your Elemental Mastery host, leaving you ready to tap and repeat the process infinitely.
