How it works

1. Activate the creature with Elemental Mastery attached by tapping it, creating at least one 1/1 Elemental creature token with haste.
2. The Elemental(s) enter the battlefield and die as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness.
3. When the Elemental(s) die, the creature with Thornbite Staff attached triggers that many times, untapping itself.
4. Repeat.

The brilliance of this setup lies in how Kaervek, the Spiteful turns fragile token generation into an instant-kill engine, as his static -1/-1 debuff ensures any newly spawned token perishes instantly from state-based actions. This automatic casualty is precisely what fuels Thornbite Staff, whose triggered ability untaps the equipped creature every time anything dies. Because the creature is now untapped, you can immediately use Elemental Mastery again to churn out another doomed token, creating a self-sustaining loop that generates infinite entry, death, and exit triggers.
