How it works

1. Activate the creature with Elemental Mastery attached by tapping it, creating at least one 1/1 Elemental creature token with haste.
2. The Elemental(s) enter the battlefield and die as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness.
3. When the Elemental(s) die, the creature with Thornbite Staff attached triggers that many times, untapping itself.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms raw power into an endless parade of ephemeral tokens, fueled entirely by the stat-shrinking penalty of Heartless Summoning. You begin by tapping the creature enchanted with Elemental Mastery, whose own power dictates how many hasty 1/1 Elementals burst forth—though those tokens immediately perish to state-based actions under the dread influence of Heartless Summoning. Each casualty doesn't just go to waste, however, because the Thornbite Staff equipped to your token-producer sees every single death and instantly untaps its wielder in response. This leaves your enchanted creature ready to tap again right away, generating infinite death triggers, enters-the-battlefield triggers, and leave-the-battlefield triggers to overwhelm your opponents.
