How it works

1. Activate Captain of the Mists by tapping it, creating at least two 1/1 Elemental creature tokens with haste.
2. When the Elementals enter the battlefield as Humans due to Conspiracy, Captain of the Mists triggers, untapping itself.
3. Repeat.

This crafty loop transforms a humble human wizard into a token-producing engine by rewriting creature types from behind the scenes. With Conspiracy naming "Human" as the universal creature type, every token generated by Elemental Mastery enters the battlefield bearing that subtype. That crucial detail triggers Captain of the Mists' ability, allowing the Captain to untap itself and immediately repeat the process for an overwhelming army of hasteing creatures.
