How it works

1. Activate Captain of the Mists by tapping it, creating at least two 1/1 Elemental creature tokens with haste.
2. When the Elementals enter the battlefield as Humans due to Maskwood Nexus, Captain of the Mists triggers, untapping itself.
3. Repeat.

This loop relies on Maskwood Nexus to turn every creature you control into a Human, which cleverly satisfies the tribal condition required to fuel Captain of the Mists' untap trigger. Once enchanted by Elemental Mastery, tapping Captain of the Mists yields a burst of Elemental tokens whose high power translates directly into multiple new bodies hitting the battlefield at once. Because Maskwood Nexus makes those tokens Humans as they enter, each batch immediately untaps Captain of the Mists so you can repeat the tapping process endlessly.
