How it works

1. Activate Captain of the Mists by tapping it, creating at least two 1/1 Elemental creature tokens with haste.
2. When the Elementals enter the battlefield as Humans due to Xenograft, Captain of the Mists triggers, untapping itself.
3. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Xenograft to redefine every creature you control as a Human, making the ensuing chaos immediately recognizable to Captain of the Mists. Once Captain of the Mists is enchanted by Elemental Mastery, you can tap it to generate a torrent of Elemental tokens whose count scales with its power. Because of Xenograft, those newly born tokens enter as Humans and trigger Captain of the Mists's first ability, untapping the Captain so you can repeat the process indefinitely for an infinite army of hasty tokens.
