How it works

  1. Cast Pyretic Ritual by paying 1R mana.
  2. Holding priority, activate Rootha by paying 2 and returning it from the battlefield to your hand, copying Pyretic Ritual.
  3. Resolve the copy of Pyretic Ritual, adding R manaR manaR mana.
  4. Activate Sneak Attack by paying R mana, putting Rootha from your hand onto the battlefield.
  5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns Sneak Attack from a simple red-cheat engine into a self-sustaining spell-copying machine by leveraging Rootha, Mercurial Artist as both a recursive cost and a spell-copier. Each iteration starts by casting Pyretic Ritual to generate three red mana, which easily funds Sneak Attack's red activation to drop Rootha right back onto the battlefield from your hand. You then bounce Rootha back to your hand to activate her ability, copying the original ritual for an endless loop that continuously triggers magecraft abilities while churning out infinite creature enters- and leaves-the-battlefield triggers.
