How it works

1. Activate all mana-producing nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least 3.
2. Cast Dramatic Reversal by paying 1.
3. Activate Rootha by paying 2 and returning it to your hand, copying Dramatic Reversal.
4. Resolve the Dramatic Reversal copy, untapping all nonland permanents you control.
5. Activate all mana-producing nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least 3.
6. Cast Rootha by paying 1.
7. Repeat from step 3.
8. If nonland permanents you control can tap to produce at least 4, this combo nets infinite mana.

This brilliant loop turns a simple bounce ability into a self-sustaining engine, provided your mana sources can produce at least {4}{U}{R} total. By casting Dramatic Reversal to untap your board, you can respond by paying Rootha, Mercurial Artist's ability to copy the spell while returning the Merz to your hand. As the copy resolves and refreshes your permanents, you simply replay Rootha from your hand using the generated mana to fuel the cycle all over again. While Prophet of Kruphix doesn't actively participate in this immediate casting loop, its static abilities grant your creatures flash and ready your lands and creatures on every other player's turn, making it a stellar companion for setting up your nonland permanents to pull off this magical feat in formats like Legacy, Modern, Oathbreaker, Pioneer, and Vintage.
