How it works
- Gain life.
- Heroic Feast triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Herd Baloth.
- Herd Baloth triggers, creating a creature token and an artifact token.
- When the artifact token enters the battlefield, Teething Wurmlet triggers, causing you to gain life.
- Repeat from step 2.
This delightful loop turns any initial spark of lifegain into a self-sustaining engine of growth and bounty. When you trigger Heroic Feast, its enchantment text immediately responds to the life you've gained by placing a +1/+1 counter on Herd Baloth, which in turn answers with a 4/4 Beast token. That token creation is intercepted by Peregrin Took's replacement effect, which generously tacks on an extra Food token to the transaction. The arrival of these artifacts causes Teething Wurmlet to notice the incoming hardware and reward you with more life, which immediately feeds back into Heroic Feast to start the cycle anew.
