How it works

1. All creatures your opponents control lose flying.
2. Stormtide prevents creatures without flying or islandwalk from attacking.

This pairing creates a devastating, unilateral combat lock by completely shutting down your opponents' ability to declare attackers. Stormtide Leviathan does the heavy lifting of turning all lands into Islands and restricting attacks to only creatures with flying or islandwalk. Meanwhile, Archetype of Imagination strips away all flying from your opponents' creatures and permanently bars them from gaining it back, while simultaneously granting flying to your own board. Because Stormtide Leviathan already grants islandwalk to itself, your entire team will be able to fly right over an entirely grounded and helpless enemy.
