How it works

1. Activate Megatog by sacrificing a Clue.
2. Lonis and Sakashima of a Thousand Faces's second abilities trigger.
3. Resolve the Lonis trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Sakashima of a Thousand Faces.
4. Sakashima of a Thousand Faces's first ability triggers, creating a Clue artifact token.
5. Resolve the Sakashima of a Thousand Faces trigger from step 2, putting a +1/+1 counter on Lonis.
6. Lonis' first ability triggers, creating a Clue artifact token.
7. Resolve the Megatog ability.
8. Repeat.

This loop transforms a modest sacrifice outlet into a perpetual motion machine by leveraging the unique synergy between Lonis, Genetics Expert and Sakashima of a Thousand Faces copying her. Because Sakashima ignores the legend rule, having two Lonises on the board means that every time you place a +1/+1 counter on one, it triggers an investigation, and that newly created Clue can be fed directly to Megatog. When you sacrifice that Clue to Megatog's ability, Lonis's third ability lets you pump the other clone with a counter, which in turn triggers *that* copy to investigate and feed the counter back to the first. This creates a self-sustaining ping-pong effect of counters and clues, leaving you with an arbitrarily massive Megatog and an endless supply of Clues to crack at your leisure.
