How it works

1. During your precombat main phase, cast Wormfang Manta by paying 5.
2. Wormfang Manta's first ability does not trigger due to Hushbringer.
3. Activate Wizard Mentor by tapping it, returning it and Wormfang Manta from the battlefield to your hand.
4. When Wormfang Manta leaves the battlefield, its second ability triggers, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
5. Cast Wizard Mentor by paying 2.
6. Repeat each turn.

The brilliance of this engine lies in completely neutralizing Wormfang Manta’s catastrophic entry downside using Hushbringer, which shuts down creature-based enters-the-battlefield triggers so you never have to skip a turn. Once the Manta is safely on board, you can leverage Wizard Mentor's tap ability to bounce both itself and the Wormfang Manta right back to your hand. Because Wormfang Manta leaves the battlefield, its second ability triggers to grant you an extra turn, completely circumventing any drawbacks. You simply replay Wizard Mentor and recast the Manta on each subsequent turn, chaining infinite extra turns together to lock your opponents out of the game entirely.
