How it works

1. Activate Cryptic Trilobite's first ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding CC.
2. Activate Ghave's first ability by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from Cryptic Trilobite, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
3. The Saproling enters the battlefield, triggering Cathars' Crusade, putting a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.
4. Activate Ghave's second ability by paying 1 and sacrificing the Saproling token, putting a +1/+1 counter on Cryptic Trilobite.
5. Activate Cryptic Trilobite's first ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding CC.
6. Activate Ghave's first ability by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from any creature you control, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
7. Repeat from step 3.
8. Once you have infinite +1/+1 counters on Cryptic Trilobite, you may activate Ghave's first ability an infinite number of times to get infinite Saproling tokens.

This loop operates through a brilliant, self-sustaining exchange of counters and mana. Cryptic Trilobite fuels Ghave, Guru of Spores' token-generation abilities by converting its own counters into restricted mana, while sacrifices and new entries continuously feed the engine. The true engine of growth is Cathars' Crusade, which rewards every entering Saproling by distributing fresh +1/+1 counters to build up your board and keep the mana flowing indefinitely.
