How it works

1. Deal combat damage to an opponent using Etrata, triggering its ability twice due to Roaming Throne.
2. Holding priority, activate Strionic Resonator by paying 2 and tapping it, copying either of Etrata's triggers.
3. Resolve all Etrata triggers, exiling three creatures an opponent controls and putting hit counters on them, and then causing that opponent to lose the game.

This lethal loop turns Etrata, the Silencer into an absolute assassin by multiplying her unique victory condition through clever use of permanents. When Etrata slips past your opponent's defenses, Roaming Throne ensures her damage trigger fires an extra time, while Strionic Resonator is ready to copy a trigger and push your total activations to three in a single combat step. Because Etrata exiles a creature and places a hit counter every time that ability resolves, hitting the magic threshold of three exiled cards with hit counters instantly forces that player to lose the game.
