How it works

1. Deal combat damage to an opponent using Etrata, triggering its ability.
2. Holding priority, activate Strionic Resonator by paying 2 and tapping it, copying Etrata's trigger.
3. Holding priority, cast Return the Favor by paying 1, choosing its first mode, copying Etrata's trigger.
4. Resolve all Etrata triggers, exiling three creatures an opponent controls and putting hit counters on them, and then causing that opponent to lose the game.

This cunning assassination turns Etrata, the Silencer's slow win condition into a sudden, game-ending strike. Normally, Etrata tucks herself away safely after a single successful hit, but by weaponizing Strionic Resonator and casting Return the Favor with its copy mode, you multiply her single combat damage trigger into three distinct instances on the spot. This allows you to rapidly exile a trio of opposing creatures, stack up the required hit counters all in one fell swoop, and immediately trigger the condition where that player loses the game.
