How it works

1. Activate a basic Plains by tapping it, adding .
2. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 1.
3. Selvala triggers, creating a 1/1 Mercenary creature token.
4. When Whitemane Lion enters the battlefield, it triggers.
5. Holding priority, activate Earthcraft by tapping Whitemane Lion, untapping the Plains.
6. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
7. Activate the Plains by tapping it, adding .
8. Activate Earthcraft by tapping the Mercenary, untapping the Plains.
9. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns the self-bouncing nature of Whitemane Lion into an endless engine for your battlefield. Each time you cast the Lion, Selvala, Eager Trailblazer triggers to flood your board with a steady stream of Mercenary tokens, while Earthcraft steps in to leverage those very bodies—and the Lion itself—to untap your lands for mana. Because the Lion’s own entry trigger forces it straight back to your hand, you can repeat the whole sequence indefinitely to generate an unending storm count, countless entry and leave-the-battlefield triggers, and an army of tapped creature tokens.
