Down in the Valley

How it works

1. Activate Perilous Forays by paying 1 and sacrificing a creature you control, searching your library for a land card with a basic land type and putting it on the battlefield untapped due to Tiller Engine.
2. When the land enters the battlefield, Down in the Valley triggers, creating a creature token.
3. Activate the land by tapping it, adding 1.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop starts with Down in the Valley, whose second chapter grants you a crucial stream of fodder by creating a 1/1 green Elf creature token whenever a land enters the battlefield. You then feed those tokens into Perilous Forays, paying a mana to sacrifice them and fetch a land with a basic land type straight from your library. Crucially, Tiller Engine watches that land enter the battlefield tapped and immediately untaps it, allowing you to tap it right back for mana to help pay for the next iteration of Perilous Forays. By cycling your tokens into lands over and over, you can pull every single eligible land right out of your deck in one massive turn!
