How it works

1. Cast Donate by paying 2, giving control of Notion Thief to an opponent.
2. During that opponent's draw step, they draw a card.
3. Consecrated Sphinx triggers, causing the opponent to draw two cards due to Notion Thief.
4. Consecrated Sphinx triggers twice.
5. Resolve the first trigger, causing the opponent to draw two cards due to Notion Thief.
6. Repeat from step 4 until the opponent loses the game due to drawing from an empty library.

This clever combination weaponizes the mechanics of card drawing by gifting your own piece to the opposition. By using Donate to hand control of Notion Thief to an opponent, their future draws are forcibly intercepted so that you get the cards instead. However, because Notion Thief's replacement effect turns any additional card draw into your own, the presence of Consecrated Sphinx creates an explosive feedback loop: every card they attempt to draw triggers the Sphinx twice, which Notion Thief then tries to redirect back to you, setting off an endless cascade of triggers that forces your opponent to continuously draw until they deck themselves out and lose the game.
