How it works

1. Donate Blightbeetle to an opponent
2. Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing the undying creature.
3. When the undying creature dies, its undying ability triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield without a +1/+1 counter on it due to Blightbeetle.
4. Resolve the Phantom Train ability.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop relies on giving your opponent a Blightbeetle, whose static ability ensures that creatures they control can never receive +1/+1 counters. By handing it over via Donate, you weaponize its passive protection against your own side of the board once you slip a Phantom Train into the mix. You can then repeatedly sacrifice your own creature to fuel the Phantom Train, trusting that the creature's undying ability will return it to the battlefield completely free of counters—all thanks to the Blightbeetle's watchful eye across the table. This generates an unstoppable loop of infinite sacrifices, deaths, enters-the-battlefield triggers, and endless growth for the Phantom Train itself.
