How it works

1. Cast Felidar Guardian by paying 3.
2. When Felidar Guardian enters the battlefield, it triggers, targeting Vesperlark.
3. Holding priority, activate Thermopod by sacrificing Felidar Guardian.
4. Resolve the Felidar Guardian trigger, blinking Vesperlark.
5. When Vesperlark leaves the battlefield, it triggers, returning Felidar Guardian from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns a simple flicker effect into a self-sustaining engine by letting Vesperlark act as a perpetual recursion source for Felidar Guardian. Whenever Felidar Guardian enters the battlefield, its blink trigger targets Vesperlark, sending it away and immediately triggering Vesperlark's leaves-the-battlefield ability to bring Felidar Guardian right back from the graveyard. Meanwhile, Thermopod sits on the board ready to sacrifice Felidar Guardian in response, turning each iteration of the cycle into a steady stream of red mana and enabling the loop to repeat indefinitely.
