How it works

1. Cast Felidar Guardian by paying 3.
2. When Felidar Guardian enters the battlefield, it triggers, targeting Vesperlark.
3. Holding priority, activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Felidar Guardian.
4. Resolve the Felidar Guardian trigger, blinking Vesperlark.
5. When Vesperlark leaves the battlefield, it triggers, returning Felidar Guardian from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop sets up an infinite engine centered around the sacrifice outlet provided by Shilgengar, Sire of Famine, which converts your creatures into Blood tokens. By casting Felidar Guardian, you trigger an entry effect that targets Vesperlark, but before it resolves, you sacrifice the Guardian to Shilgengar. Vesperlark leaves the battlefield, triggering its own ability to pull Felidar Guardian right back from the graveyard—and since Vesperlark was cast or brought back with power 1 or less, it can continuously recur these pieces while fueling your massive Blood token generation.
