How it works

1. Declare Mist-Syndicate Naga as an attacker.
2. When it isn't blocked, activate up to seven lands you control by tapping them, adding at least 4.
3. Activate Great Whale's ninjutsu ability by paying 2 and returning Mist-Syndicate Naga from the battlefield to your hand, putting Great Whale onto the battlefield from your hand tapped and attacking.
4. When Great Whale enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping up to seven lands.
5. Activate Mist-Syndicate Naga's ninjutsu ability by paying 2 and returning Great Whale from the battlefield to your hand, putting Mist-Syndicate Naga onto the battlefield from your hand tapped and attacking.
6. Repeat from step 2.
7. If you control up to seven lands that can tap to produce at least 5, this combo nets infinite mana.

By leveraging Satoru Umezawa's static ability, every creature card in your hand gains ninjutsu, turning your whole grip into an ambush of sneaky threats. You use this to swap Great Whale and Mist-Syndicate Naga back and forth from the battlefield to your hand, bypassing casting costs entirely. Every time Great Whale drops into play, its enters-the-battlefield trigger untaps your lands to refund your mana, while Satoru Umezawa even lets you filter through your library for extra cards along the way.
