How it works

1. Activate Sadistic Hypnotist by sacrificing a creature, causing you to discard Basking Rootwalla and Blazing Rootwalla into exile.
2. Basking Rootwalla and Blazing Rootwalla's madness abilities trigger.
3. Resolve the Basking Rootwalla trigger, causing you to pay 0 to cast it from exile.
4. When Basking Rootwalla enters the battlefield, Cloudstone Curio and Blessed Sanctuary trigger.
5. Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, choosing to return nothing to your hand.
6. Resolve the Blessed Sanctuary trigger, creating a 2/2 Unicorn creature token.
7. When the creature token enters the battlefield, Cloudstone Curio triggers, returning Basking Rootwalla from the battlefield to your hand.
8. Resolve the Blazing Rootwalla trigger from step 2, causing you to pay 0 to cast it from exile.
9. Repeat steps 4 through 7 one additional time using Blazing Rootwalla instead.
10. Repeat from step 1.

This clever loop relies on Sadistic Hypnotist to continuously feed cards into the graveyard while triggering the madness abilities of both Basking Rootwalla and Blazing Rootwalla for free. As these rootwallas enter the battlefield, Blessed Sanctuary steps in to generate a 2/2 white Unicorn token alongside them, keeping your board well-stocked with fresh fodder. This is where Cloudstone Curio does its heavy lifting: each time a Unicorn token enters, its creature type matches the rootwallas, allowing you to seamlessly bounce the newly cast rootwalla back to your hand to be discarded all over again.
